Platinum/Palladium Workshop with Michael Puff

No summer would be complete without a visit to Silver City, NM and Light Art Space. I took a platinum/palladium workshop there with master printer Michael Puff in August. If you ever get a chance to see his work in person, don’t miss it! This is my second class with Michael, and everything seemed to click this time around. The process really sings to my creative spirit. It’s archival, which is important for me. I want to give collectors a print that will stand the test of time. Images printed in this way are so beautiful with long rich tones and details even in the shadow areas.

My husband Frank (at left) and I are with Carmen Ruiz outside the opening for “Through the Body” exhibition at Light Art Space. The exhibition was up the same time as the workshop so it added to the fun of the weekend. Carmen is a wonderful person and award-winning artist represented by the gallery.
