Meeting Elizabeth Opalenik and an Honorable Mention

I had the privilege of meeting photographic artist Elizabeth Opalenik at the reception for Light Sensitive at Art Intersection in July. Elizabeth was as kind and funny as I imagined. While she is best known for her mordançage work, I’ve always been inspired by her portfolio of underwater portraits called “Reflecting on the Edge.” Elizabeth was the juror for the exhibition and selected two of my cyano-lumens, one of which was awarded an Honorable Mention.
