The Paradox of Perception
My dear friend and fellow photographer, Nancy Miiller, and I had the honor of talking to the Arizona Photography Alliance membership about our collaborative project The Paradox of Perception.
Nan and I have been working together on our images for over a year now. We combine an image from her archive and one from mine to create a layered vision. The project uses the metaphor of dreams to question accepted norms of thoughts, feelings and perceived light.
It has been and continues to be fun and inspiring to work together to build something of meaning and depth. We are testing various substrates from paper to fabric and various printing techniques at present. I’ll share an image (and headshots of us) to give you a taste of where this body of work is headed. Stay tuned! More photos and details to come.
