Finding Hestia Montage

I was really excited to share Finding Hestia images at Art Intersection for the annual No Strangers exhibition. Twenty-eight 4” x 6” photographs were individiually mounted onto black matboard and then mounted together on 28” x 24” white matboard. I love the montage and its unframed accessibility to viewers. I had some interesting conversations at the opening with viewers about growing old as a female. Most people felt physical aging came as a bit of a surprise. So many thought we’re able to feel good about our bodies even as cosmetic procedures abound in a culture that reveres youth.

A special thank you to Alan Fitzgerald for encouraging me to do something unexpected this year and to Tatianna Padgett for her invaluable help with the installation. The exhibition closed on March 18, 2023.
