Near to Far Exhibit
This July, I was part of a three-person exhibition, Near to Far: 3 Views of the World, mounted at Fearless Art Works Gallery in Carefree, Arizona. It was a wonderful experience on several levels. I loved my fellow exhibitors (Patrick O'Brien and Frank Kraljic)! We covered views of the earth ranging from my macro botanicals to Patrick's street scenes to Frank's celestial landscapes.
The exhibit also gave me an opportunity to share info with gallery-goers about the breadth and creative possibilities of photography. I hung explanations and relevant history on the processes used in the images displayed (gelatin silver, platinum-palladium, pigment and lumen prints). It also ended up being a great way to connect with opening night visitors. I had a lot of fun answering questions and talking about my work. Special thanks to gallery owner Michelle Micalizzi for the opportunity!
